Q1: When did you start making art?
I never really started as a child, I remember drawing in colouring books but it wasn’t until my fourth year of school when I began to take art seriously. Then after two years painting and drawing in art class I picked up a small digital camera and gave photography a bash.

Q2: What does inspire you?
Mostly stories from childhood like Little Red Riding Hood, Alice in Wonderland etc Music, video games and other artists and photographers inspire me.

Q3: What are your techniques?
A Nikon d5200, wireless shutter remote and a tripod. And mostly always using natural light.

Q4: What is the main idea or feeling behind your works?
Although I do love doing dark and bloody photos I have a mixture of different themes in my gallery so it all just depends on what I’m working on. But I always want there to some sort of connection between the piece and the viewer may it be happy, strange, intense etc

Q5: What is the main color of your art and why?
I work with all colours mostly but I’m more attracted to a black, white and red colour palette.

Q6: What would you improve about your work and why?
I’d be a bit more confident about it.

Q7: Do you have any project for the future?
There are a few project ideas in the back of my mind gathering dust so one of them will need to get started!

Q8: Describe yourself with 3 words capturing the essence of VelvetRedBullet.
Dreamer, Bold and Emotional.

Q9: Show us (link) your very first work. Describe it from techniques till feelings.
Its not the very first thing that I posted but this HERE. There really isn’t much to say about it, I took it on a crappy little silver digital camera that had to have a plaster on it to hold in the batteries. I remember feeling very joyful as we hardly ever got snow so I guess I just took it because I was happy.

Q10: What did change from your first work till now?
I’ve learned to be a lot more creative as when I started out everything was very simple and looking back if feels like I was copying someone else’s ideas and watering them down.

Q11: What is art for you? Escaping from reality or the essence of life?
Art is a lot of things to me but I do certainly use it to escape reality. Since I started doing self portraiture I have never felt like I was showing myself, each portrait was a character from my mind with a long story.

  Love this art!
