year of birth: 25.9.1992
Q1: When did you start making art?
I started to paint when I was 3 years old. I always liked to doodle on random things. But more serious I started to paint around 6 years ago (then I also started to paint digitally).
Q2: What does inspire you?
Everything I believe… from nature, flowers, movies, music, games, events…everything what’s around me.
Q3: What are your techniques?
Well, I paint with many techniques and mediums. From anime, realistic, semi-realistic, matte painting, moe and sometimes I also make models in 3D programs. But from traditional mediums I paint with oils, pencils, colored pencils, pens, pastels, markers, watercolors.
Q4: What is the main idea or feeling behind your works?
I mostly like to paint fantasy themed art…but I like that artwork looks dynamic with lots of action. I like to paint characters with different kind of emotions, from happy, sad, mysterious…depends what mood I want to create on specific painting…and that people who view my works can feel these emotions which I tried to make.
Q5: What is the main color of your art and why?
I’m obsessed with red…haha. I can’t help it. It’s just my favourite color and I can get many contrasts from it. I like to mix cold and warm contrasts (or paint with opposite colors) and red is just perfect for me. It’s vivid and not too bright or too dark.
Q6: What would you improve about your work and why?
I would mostly like to improve my environmental paintings…I didn’t draw them at the beginning, so now I try to paint as various as I can. I’m not good with perspective that much, so this would be the first thing which I would have to improve. But still…thank god that 3D programs exists, haha. They help me a lot here.
Q7: Do you have any project for the future?
Yea, I do…I’ll be concept artist for a game which will be released on consoles and PC. But more info about the project will be available soon.
Q8: Describe yourself with 3 words capturing the essence of tincek-marincek.
Hmm…crazy, dreamy, various.
Q9: Show us (link) your very first work. Describe it from techniques till feelings.
I probably don’t have my first traditional work, because I was too young, but I can show you my first digital work. It was this one HERE (first image). It was done in Corel Painter in 2007. I didn’t know to use tablet or program (properly) then, so it was a whole new experience for me. I tried to paint with my traditional knowledge (which kinda didn’t work, because digital medium was much different…haha. But I figured that out after some time). I always liked to design characters, so on this picture I tried to portrait a woman with a dragon graphic in the background. This was kinda a practice, where I experimented with brushes and the program.
Q10: What did change from your first work till now?
A lot…from technique, style and also concepts which I paint. Before I painted mostly by using photo references, or random fantasy, almost surrealistic paintings. In 2010 I decided to try anime style and I paint with it since then. Though around 2012 I started to paint with my style, and now I also combined anime and semi-realistic style together. And now I try to paint more dynamic arts, with different kinds of concepts and stories.
Q11: What is art for you? Escaping from reality or the essence of life?
Actually both…I can’t imagine my life without painting. Once I tried not to draw for around one month, and I simply had to draw again. When I have many things to do for others or the college, I like to escape from that reality and make my personal works. Like that I forget all the problems.
