year of birth: 1990
Q1: When did you start making art?
To be honest, I’m still not sure if I’m making art, but I started doing photography/manips 5 or 6 years ago.
Q2: What does inspire you?
Music, books, dreams, my friends.
Q3: What are your techniques?
I tend to edit my photos a lot, sometimes maybe even too much. From time to time I do manipulate, sometimes more, sometimes less but overall, I do it all digitally using photos and Photoshop.
Q4: What is the main idea or feeling behind your works?
I would say some kind of a fear…
Q5: What is the main color of your art and why?
I do love doing black and white photos. Mainly because they focus the viewer on the subject while there are no colors to distract.
Q6: What would you improve about your work and why?
As lame as I sounds – I would like to buy a new camera. My 450D along with my only working lens (50mm f/1.8) are really are in really bad condition and sometimes I just can’t find inspiration knowing I don’t have necessary equipment. Beside that I would love to get some proper knowledge from a good fine art photographer.
Q7: Do you have any project for the future?
Quite, to be honest. Just need my models to finish with their exams.
Q8: Describe yourself with 3 words capturing the essence of SorrowScavenger.
Well this is hard. If I could, I would change my username since this account is 7 years old and a lot of stuff happened in the meantime so I don’t feel like an SorrowScavenger anymore.
Q9: Show us (link) your very first work. Describe it from techniques till feelings.
Wow. Had to do some digging 😀
Manipulated some stock photo and my photo HERE. Looks way too funny for me.
This work could easily describe my nick, to be honest. Was before some people happened and while I was in that, stupid, adolescent trip.
Q10: What did change from your first work till now?
I changed. Think that’s the most important thing.
Yeah, equipment also and my knowledge of Photoshop, but my life changed a lot and so did my ideas and inspiration.
Q11: What is art for you? Escaping from reality or the essence of life?
Love the question and can only say – both.
