year of birth: 1981
Q1: When did you start making art?
I started to draw since I was able to handle the pencil, since 3or 4 years old. It’s difficult to say that was art But I can’t say when I made my first work which could be called ‘art’.
Q2: What does inspire you?
Almost everything I see around. But especially works of other artists. Sometimes music or movies.
Q3: What are your techniques?
Graphic. I really like the engraving technique, but I still can’t do it as well as I want
Q4: What is the main idea or feeling behind your works?
Every work has it’s own. But in most cases they have no any idea, just an image which I think could be interesting (for me at first).
Q5: What is the main color of your art and why?
Basically it’s black and white, because I’m very bad in colours.
Q6: What would you improve about your work and why?
Composition and realism, because I draw just from my head, never compare with the real thing, how they look etc. I have to draw more and more real things, but I’m too lazy for it
Q7: Do you have any project for the future?
I have a dream to make the whole world of my ‘skeleton-like’ creatures, with it’s history, nature, architecture etc. The best result for it would be the footage consists from my pictures and sounds, but I really don’t know how to do it. Also, I’d like to make a sculpt for one of my creatures, but I haven’t felt enough forces for it.
Q8: Describe yourself with 3 words capturing the essence of Skrill.
I love drawing.
Q9: Show us (link) your very first work. Describe it from techniques till feelings.
Well, my very first work don’t need any describes :))
As some turning point I could say about this one HERE The story of creating this picture may be called ‘mystical’ or like it. I woke up at deep night, take a piece of paper and did pencil sketch, it took me near an hour. Then I fell asleep again. In the morning I looked at that sketch and thought’It’s coool! Then I did several works like this one. I don’t know how to say it, but there’s some turn in my mind, and it was great.
Q10: What did change from your first work till now?
Hope my drawing technique a little bit improved
Q11: What is art for you? Escaping from reality or the essence of life?
Just a pleasant time spending, hobby, and sometimes an opportunity to earn extramoney.
