Q1: When did you start making art?
In professional way since about 18 years. My first professional artistic job was in the theater, I was an actress but also I dealt with dancing, singing, design and create theatrical costumes, scenery, masks, I worked with several theaters, museums or cultural and arts institutions for many years.
With traditional art like drawings and paintings I’m working since two years, with photography and photomanipulations since one year.
Q2: What does inspire you?
I’m looking for inspirations in every possible kind of art but the most influence on me have christian art, human nature or life and death. Obviously everything can be inspiration and give stimulation to create, also human body, anatomy and decaying of it is very inspiring for me, everyday it can be different thing giving the impulse to create.
Q3: What are your techniques?
I love to create by experiments, add a new elements to my work, discovering new solutions, I get bored quickly with simple, traditional methods or repeat one thing constantly.
Mainly I’m working with acrylics and I’m enjoying it the most but also I’m using graphite, chorcoal, coloured pencils, watercolours, gouaches, pastels and a many more. I’m experimenting in my paintings with a natural textiles, fire, masks done by me, salt, wax, still loking for a new solutions to make my paintings more effective, volumed, interesting.
Also I’m tattooing and in last time I’m creating photography and photomanipulations, you can check it HERE.
Q4: What is the main idea or feeling behind your works?
My goal is to create art full of emotions combined with the symbolism, tame the difficult themes like death, disease, rot, fear also, I’m also trying to give the feel of natural decrepitude and decay to show that nothing is perfect.
Q5: What is the main color of your art and why?
The basis is black then red and white. In my paintings I’m using also gold. Uncommon I’m using the other colours.
Black color represents the darkness, simplicity, versatility or mourning,
Red symbolizes the essence of life, blood, martyrdom, sacrifice,
White depicted purity and innocence,
Gold symbolizes holiness but always is destroyed in my paintings showing imperfection even in divinity.
That simple color palette is enough for me to present my ideas but as well I’m a minimalist in live and art and I’m enjoying monochrome and simplicity.
