Q1: When did you start making art?
I have been painting all my life, but seriously all started 2011.

Q2: What does inspire you?
Paintings by other artists, art, literature, philosophy, religion and my own thoughts about all this stuff.

Q3: What are your techniques?
Oil, acrylic on canvas or wood, graphite pencils (+colored pencils).

Q4: What is the main idea or feeling behind your works?
Some paintings have an idea, while others are just pure improvisation. if I have an idea for a painting, it takes most quite long, until I start to paint. Main ideas: horror or philosophy. Or both of them together. (+ fan art^^).

Q5: What is the main color of your art and why?
I do not know …. hard to say, I use many colors.

Q6: What would you improve about your work and why?
My painting techniques – perfection knows no limits.

Q7: Do you have any project for the future?
Make more paintings^^ and of course pencil drawings. I would like to increase the size of my paintings – large works have more impression.

Q8: Describe yourself with 3 words capturing the essence of nik159.
Pneuma – Soma- Sarx. Torn apart between them.

Q9: Show us (link) your very first work. Describe it from techniques till feelings.
HERE‘s not my first, but one of the first attempts to paint with acrylis on wood. I dont like it. maybe I’ll repaint it sometime.

Q10: What did change from your first work till now?
My techniques. ^^

Q11: What is art for you? Escaping from reality or the essence of life?
It’s more escaping from realitiy. I can not say whether this is good or bad. But on the other hand it is the essence of life at the same time.

  Love this art!
