Q1: When did you start making art?
I’ve always liked different kinds of art. What Computer Graphics concerns, I have started with photomanipulation 14 years ago.
Q2: What does inspire you?
I love science fiction and fantasy in this respect they are different worlds more or less well-known authors of these genres. Otherwise , I like magical realism and surrealism, and there I find inspiration in the existential substance of things.
Q3: What are your techniques?
I create artwork by photomanipulation technique, that´s favorite digital technique. These work are only that I publish on the web galleries, but I like the traditional techniques as well, especially drawing. I came back after a long time to drawing and the my drawings are more personal and there is some time for their publication.
Q4: What is the main idea or feeling behind your works?
That’s a difficult question. I create images for fun and the idea in them is not often important, it’s just the motive. There are some exceptions of course. I mean that the photomanipulation technique is restrictive for the creation of my true ideas and therefore I like classical drawing, because I can applicate more freedom during the process of creating (automatism drawing for example). In other words, it’s the possibility of expression and I’m glad when my work appeal to someone.
Q5: What is the main color of your art and why?
I do not have a favorite color, but I tend to cold and dark shades. It hasn´t a deeper reason, I just prefer them.
Q6: What would you improve about your work and why?
The technique in any case, because good technique enables to get closer to origin the visions.
Q7: Do you have any project for the future?
I have any projects in my mind. I would like to spent time by continue creating and improving my skills as my free time allows.
Q8: Describe yourself with 3 words capturing the essence of MindTuber.
Well, but I have two words only mind and tuber :)))
Q9: Show us (link) your very first work. Describe it from techniques till feelings.
It’s not quite the earliest work but its my first complex photomanipulation what I have done. This work called Saxophonist HERE. It ´s simple photomanip. based on face expression of my friend Theresa. I used a lot of stock elements in low quality without some postprocess editations as can be seen. I started to like photomanip. technique during creating of this piece, just the ability to combine photos together into one picture. I returned to this motif once again. New version of this work is HERE, moreover, differences in using the technique are vissible, I hope.
Q10: What did change from your first work till now?
The technique in my opinion, as I wrote above. I was never taught by tutorials and formed through try and error, so improvement is not such as it might be. I am also look out for higher quality of sources (stock) today and I’m trying to reuse them in my work.
Q11: What is art for you? Escaping from reality or the essence of life?
It is an expression without restrictions. Maybe it’s the valve to what I wanted to say, but I cannot, because it would be incomprehensible for many people in the case of not mediated expression. Various kind of art can transfer the subjective feelings of author on the observers. Yes, it is one from the essence of conscious being of each from us – the creation of anything in any form.
