year of birth: 1993
Q1: When did you start making art?
I’ve always liked drawing but I never decided to study art until 2 years ago.
Q2: What does inspire you?
I find inspiration almost everywhere, specially in ambient music and urban exploration.
Q3: What are your techniques?
I paint using photoshop, mainly.
Q4: What is the main idea or feeling behind your works?
I like the idea of humans being so insignificant compared to the forces of nature.
Q5: What is the main color of your art and why?
Grey and blueish tones mainly, they’re great to transmit a cold feeling.
Q6: What would you improve about your work and why?
Probably force myself to spend more time on each of my drawings, polishing shapes, and making sure the composition and other basic elements are correct.
Q7: Do you have any project for the future?
I’d love to do a series of illustrations about serial killers in rural areas of the US, creepy I know.
Q8: Describe yourself with 3 words capturing the essence of Mike Jordana.
Curiosity, observation, overthinking.
Q9: Show us (link) your very first work. Describe it from techniques till feelings.
I uploaded it HERE almost a year ago, I kinda hate it now but artists know this is a sign that you’ve improved.
Q10: What did change from your first work till now?
I learned a lot about composition, color and light in general, thanks to all the speed painting videos I’ve been watching.
Q11: What is art for you? Escaping from reality or the essence of life?
For me, art, specially painting, is about transmitting feelings we cannot describe just with words.
