Q1: When did you start making art? I have always been into making art, making.. something since I was a child. The kind of art that I am creating now, I first started to experiment with at the age of 14. Then, when i turned 15, i really took it seriously. It became a deep passion.
Q2: What does inspire you? Everything Scifi, Fantasy, Movie, Mother Nature, the Cosmos…. Anything that is attractive to my eye inspires me.
Q3: What are your techniques? Techniques…Not sure if I have one technique, i actually have a few. I use a Wacom Cintiq and Photoshop for the majority of my works. I am not sure if i have a certain technique. As I am editing, the photo has to look good to my eye or else, I change my technique around.
Q4: What is the main idea or feeling behind your works? The balance of dark and light. That is huge for me because I believe in balance and spirituality. Any work of mine, no matter how dark… has some sort of light spot. It is how I see life. No matter how dark times get, there is always light somewhere.
Q5: What is the main color of your art and why? All colors… But I really love sharp contrasts. Contrast has balance.
Q6: What would you improve about your work and why? Sometimes I lack in the technical aspects of my art because I get more into the feeling that I am trying to portray to the viewer.
Q7: Do you have any project for the future? Yes, Many. I am collaborating with a few people in order to get some of the projects going.
Q8: Describe yourself with 3 words capturing the essence of hybridgothica. Three Words: Cyberpunk, Tribal, Spiritual.
Q9: Show us (link) your very first work. Describe it from techniques till feelings.
This HERE isn’t my exact first, but it’s one of my first. On this one, I just played around with the lasso, smudge tool and black paint brush. I was conveying more of my feelings than any technique. I did try and balance dark and light.
Q10: What did change from your first work till now? I improved in my techniques and skill. I started to utilize more programs into my work, like Cinema4D and Aftereffects.
Q11: What is art for you? Escaping from reality or the essence of life? Art for me is both. It helps me completely escape reality. I create art almost all of the time, computer or not. It is a huge part of my life and a huge part of everyone else’s. Even people who don’t like art very much are affected by it. When a person grabs a product on a store shelf, not only does the brand name pull them in, it’s the actually product design as well. Art is everywhere. Art is love. Art is life.2 Loved this art!
