year of birth: 1987
Q1: When did you start making art?
Hm, well… I started photographing about 8 years ago, and since than I loved creating images with more an artistic touch. I started to make fine art photographs more seriously about a year ago, when I started my 365 project.
Q2: What does inspire you?
Everything:). Sometimes I get inspired by the objects I see in everyday life, sometimes is the location – some locations are just calling to take a photo there. I also get inspired by everyday situations, emotions. A big inspiration for me are also movies, some tv shows, books.
Q3: What are your techniques?
I use only natural light. When I photograph outside I prefer a cloudy day, or I just wait until the sun goes down.
My images are all edited in Photoshop. Every photo I expand into a square format and I play a lot with textures and colors. I like to create images that are somewhere between painting and photograph.
Q4: What is the main idea or feeling behind your works?
I like to create really expressive images. Sadness, freedom, dreams, entrapment, creepy, dark, surreal – these are some words that would mainly explain my images.
Q5: What is the main color of your art and why?
I use dark tones in my images. The colors that you will see are mostly black, white, gray, brown.
I like to use also vibrant red and blue sometimes. Most of my images are almost black and white, with just a little color in them.
Q6: What would you improve about your work and why?
I would like to improve my skills in Photoshop, so that I will be able to make some images, that I already have in my mind, but I don’t have the skills to make them yet.
