Q1: When did you start making art?
I think I started to take it seriously about 6 years ago.
Q2: What does inspire you?
Comics, movies, books…
Q3: What are your techniques?
Q4: What is the main idea or feeling behind your works?
Well, all my works are commissions indeed, so there’s no a personal idea. For the moment I’m focusing to improve my technique.
Q5: What is the main color of your art and why?
Ummmm… ochre, green… I think. I don’t know why.
Q6: What would you improve about your work and why?
I would improve my ability to tell a story in only one image, to communicate the message that I want.
Q7: Do you have any project for the future?
I have a lot of misty ideas in my mind but nothing solid. My present and near future is the humorous digital comic book series “Goof”.
Q8: Describe yourself with 3 words capturing the essence of BorjaPindado.
I don’t know.
Q9: Show us (link) your very first work. Describe it from techniques till feelings.
A caricature of AC/DC HERE. It took me many hours to finish and I felt I was painting a masterpiece :D.
Q10: What did change from your first work till now?
I usually take old works and make improvements. In this case is a caricature from a photo reference, so the composition and color won’t change. My style is the same now. But I think I would do it much better now.
Q11: What is art for you? Escaping from reality or the essence of life?
I think it is a way to understand the life, to make it more understandable to others and sometimes we need to escape from reality to do this.
