Q1: When did you start making art?
I draw, like the vast majority of people, beginning with childhood. But when it could already be called art, I do not know. Let’s just say, about 3 years ago I was doing it more than ever.

Q2: What does inspire you?
I was very inspired by fairy tales, they have a lot of magic and mystery, they are able, though not for a long time, turn any adult in the child. But in fairy tales must be something terrible, not to be bored. And of course I was very inspired by nature, nice music, beautiful girls, interesting books. And sculpture.

Q3: What are your techniques?
I mostly prefer the classic materials: watercolor, oil, pastel, tempera, acrylic, charcoal. Although Digital also sometimes draw.

Q4: What is the main idea or feeling behind your works?
In his drawings I depict painful, fragile, sad girls. They are part of me. Through their appearance I want to show not their physical health. I want to show their emotional state.

Q5: What is the main color of your art and why?
In his watercolor paintings I often use cold dramatic color. In his works pastel, I use warm and gentle colors. Color sets the mood and should be pleasing to the eye.

Q6: What would you improve about your work and why?
I’m trying to improve my technique. Sometimes force myself to draw something new, something what I usually do not draw. It also helps in the creative growth.

Q7: Do you have any project for the future?
A lot of things.

Q8: Describe yourself with 3 words capturing the essence of DeivCalviz.
Femininity, sensuality, drama.

Q9: Show us (link) your very first work. Describe it from techniques till feelings.
This HERE is one of my earliest works in a series of illustrations of “Alice in Wonderland”. The whole series was a turning point for me. My favorite person is very admired me and it spodviglo me to find his individual style. It was then that I first began to feel like an artist.

Q10: What did change from your first work till now?
Since then I gave up black outlines and began to move toward realism. Illustration in cartoon style have become a special focus in my work, but I still do not want to abandon completely.

Q11: What is art for you? Escaping from reality or the essence of life?
Art is a way to know themselves and the world in general.
