name: Anna (Armona)
year of birth: 1996
Q1: When did you start making art?
Many years ago. I draw since I can remember. However, somewhere in 2011, I started doing it consciously identified for me a life goal.
Q2: What does inspire you?
All around me. Movies, books, music, art other artists. Computer games and nature.
Q3: What are your techniques?
I work mainly in watercolor. I can not give a precise definition of what kind of style (Neoimpressionism?)
Also often draw a simple pencil. Develop the skills of digital painting.
Q4: What is the main idea or feeling behind your works?
The idea is to show the beauty of nature through the prism of his vision.
This is a general outline. Most importantly, what I want now seeks to portray the nature of fictional worlds. This is so exciting!
I started to to paint simple objects: the sky, the earth, the one-two trees (My picture on this end). Now, having mastered some of the skills of watercolor, I’m trying to do more complicated things: I paint destruction and ruins, bridges and arches, people silhouettes.
I think a couple of years I come up with my goal and I will paint complex landscape of fictional worlds (or illustrations for books, games).
Q5: What is the main color of your art and why?
No main color. I Have a palette of shades “sunset”. I often use a combination of these colors (yellow, orange, pink, blue, lots of blue). Sometimes the work is done fully colors blue (because this color calms me), but it is not often.
Q6: What would you improve about your work and why?
There are many things that I am unhappy. I think practice and a good teacher will help me.
Q7: Do you have any project for the future?
Yes. I have a notebook with ideas for future landscapes and some orders.
Also have a small project “Book of Roses”, which I’ll do in August. I’ll draw roses. Many, many roses.
Q8: Describe yourself with 3 words capturing the essence of AnnaArmona.
eternity, serenity, fortitude.
Q9: Show us (link) your very first work. Describe it from techniques till feelings.
My first, which I painted in 6 years? No no no … I’ll show one of the first works.
This HERE is the simplest, and where should begin any artist. Go from simplified to complex. Though, I admit, I still often do such a simple and quick sketches\etude (just do not show them to anyone). It helps to catch the moment, the state of nature did not dwell on the details.
Q10: What did change from your first work till now?
I began to do more complicated things. Correctly select the color. Try to better draw a tree (more like the real thing). Supplement the knowledge of the composition. But I can not say that I have mastered it all perfectly. I still need a lot of work.
Q11: What is art for you? Escaping from reality or the essence of life?
For me, art is pleasure. I love to contemplate and create.
Reality is beautiful! We need only to look back and see the grandeur of nature. The millennial mountains and rivers that carry the history and memory, and which go in the future.
Therefore, art is the essence of life. I do not run from reality, I run with it.
